Volkswagen presented officially the sixth generation of the Transporter, the car borrows design details from the Tristar Concept and the Eco-Motion Concept, featuring a wider grille and LED daytime running lights.
The interior features a large 6.5 inch touch screen, a three-spoke steering wheel and an infotainment system.
The car is available with a 2.0 liter TDI Euro 6 engine producing 84, 102, 105 and 204 hp and a 2.0 liter TSI producing 150 and 204 hp. In terms of equipment the car features an electrically controlled rear door, active cruise control and the DCC system (Dynamic Cruise Control) with three operating modes: comfort, normal and sport.
It is available in passenger and professional version and in Germany the professional version will have a starting price of €23,035 with the passenger Multivan starting from €29,950.
The car will also be offered in a launch edition called Generation SIX, based on the Multivan Comfortline, featuring LED daytime running lights, chrome decorations, a two-tone exterior, 18 inch alloy wheels and Alcantara upholstery on the interior.
