The Indian automaker DC Design in New Delhi unveiled two new cars, the Tia and the Eleron. Dc Design also brought to its booth the Avanti, the first Indian supercar. The first is a small urban car which will go in production in 2016. The two-seater has 200 mm ground clearance and it is powered by a 1.2 liter turbo engine producing 120 hp with 190 Nm of torque combined to a 4-speed automatic transmission that sends the power to the rear axle.
The engine is mounted in the center with Tia standing on 18 inch wheels. It is made of composite materials, it has a targa roof and four disc brakes. It weighs 950 kilos and it does 0-100 km/h in 9 seconds with a top speed of 160 km/h!
The second car is convertible two-door four-seater SUV which will also will go in production in 2016. It has a length of 5.055 mm, width of 1.965 mm, height of 1.710 mm and a 3.090 mm wheelbase. It has 240 mm ground clearance and it features a targa roof.
It stands on 22 inch wheels and it is equipped with a turbo 2,0- liter petrol engine producing
265 hp with 360 Nm of torque, with the power to be sent to all four wheels via a five speed automatic transmission.
