Toyota Motorsport's secret basement

The basement of Toyota Motorsport GmbH in Cologne is the part that all the heroes of the rally of the past are gathered together, through the racing memories of the Celica and the Corolla, as well as the Celica TA64 Group B, the Celica GT4 Carlos Sainz as and of the threatening black MR2, which never ran in Group S.

Toyota Motorsport's secret basement

The success of the Toyota WRC started in 1990, when Carlos Sainz won the championship behind the wheel of a Toyota Celica GT4, with the title coming back in his hands after two years later, in 1992. In 1993, the Board of Toyota motorsport, which is still called Toyota Team Europe, won both the manufacturer’s title and drivers title with Juha Kankunnen driving the Toyota Celica Turbo 4WD. Toyota except of the WRC had notable successes in a large class of Le Mans races, where they participated between 2001 and 2009.
