Volvo is developing a mobile refueling system. When the fuel tank of your Volvo tends to empty, the car will automatically send a message to a mobile “refueler” who will come and using a unique one-off code will open the cap and fill the vehicle with fuel, with the presence of the driver not required.

The Head of Technology of Volvo, Klas Bendrik said:
The Internet has hit the door of the car industry and the widespread use of smartphones, unlocks new perspectives on what you can do by connecting the car to the customer.
According to Bendrik, Volvo has already tested a system where the drivers can choose to deliver a parcel to their car instead of their home. Also they have tested systems that enable the remote activation of the air conditioning for the defrosting of the windows or instant activation of the horn and lights to locate the car by the driver in a parking lot.
