At CES Asia, Audi presented the R8 e-tron piloted driving concept. The autonomous electric R8 e-tron that delivers 462 hp with 920 Nm of torque and can do the 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
The prototype uses the data collected by several ultrasonic sensors, a radar, lasers and cameras and processes them through the central driver assistance control unit, creating “a complete picture of the vehicle’s environment”. The R8 e-tron piloted driving concept has a range of 450 km, with Audi to say that within the next two years, autonomous technology will be featured in the company’s production cars.
