The Renault 15 and Renault 17 were produced between 1971 and 1979. Both cars had TL and TS versions. The 15 TL was equipped with a 1.28 liter engine producing 60 hp at 5,000 rpm with 96 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm, having a top speed of 150 km/h. The 15 TS was equipped with a 1,5 liter engine producing
90 hp at 5,800 rpm with 122 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm, having a top speed of 170 km/h.

The 17 TL was equipped with a the same engine as the 15 TS, the 17 TS though in the targa and coupe versions, was equipped with a 1.6 liter engine producing 108 hp at 6,000 rpm with 136 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm, having a top speed of 180 km/h. Both cars were replaced with the Renault Fuego in 1980.
