On the sidelines of the auction of Barrett Jackson in Las Vegas, the first Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition was sold for the sum of $500,000, with all proceeds going to the Creative Studies college in Detroit.

The Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition is a special version of the Z06, which is based on the racing C7.R and it will be produced in only 500 units. It is available in a coupe and a convertible version, wearing the Z07 Performance Package with Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, Michelin PS Cup 2 tires and it is available in either black or yellow color.

It also has yellow brake calipers, black wheels with yellow details, carbon decorations, a carbon air duct on the hood and a gray grille. Its interior features black leather with suede details, yellow stitching, Competition Sport seats and a special tag with the serial number.
