Roding presented the Roadster R1, a small two-seater roadster model that is constructed on a chassis made of CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) with the front and rear sub-frames being made of CFRP and aluminum. Its body is made of polyester, while its removable roof is made also of CFRP.
It weighs only 995 kg and it is equipped with a 6-cylinder engine available in three different power outputs, of 340 hp with 450 Nm torque for the simple version, 408 hp and 540 Nm of torque for the LS version and 450 hp and 620 Nm of torque for the LS 2 version, that also has a top speed that reaches 310 km/hour.
The engine is combined with a 6-speed manual transmission which sends the power to the rear wheels via a Torsen limited-slip differential lock. The car has 18 inch wheels with Toyo R888 tires, a fully adjustable suspension and four-piston brakes at the front and two-piston at the back.
Its interior features two-tone leather Recaro seats with 4 point seat belts and an Alpine multimedia system wit ha 6.1 inch touchscreen.
