Lincoln unveiled the new Continental, the production version of the Continental concept, that was presented by the company at the New York auto show, last April.
The Lincoln Continental has unique lines that enhance the premium feel that the company wants to offer with the model. Its is based on the prolonged CD4 front wheel drive platform of Ford, which is used by the Mondeo and it is equipped with a 3 liter twin-turbo V6 engine that delivers 400 hp and 543 Nm of torque.
The power passes to all four wheels, while the car is also equipped with a Dynamic Torque Vectoring system, which sends the appropriate power on the wheels during a turn. It is provided with the Lincoln Drive Control system, consisting of three driving modes: comfort, normal and sport, with each one to change the characteristics of the vehicle.
Its interior features a leather upholstery, heated-ventilated seats and air conditioned rear seats. It also has perimeter cameras, adaptive cruise control and a pre-collision braking system. It has a sound system of Revel, which has a sound cancellation function (Active Noise Control). The production of the car will take place at Ford’s plant at Flat Rock.
