US authorities have found three unauthorized software in 3 liter diesel engines that are equipped in models of Volkswagen and Audi, according to the German Bild am Sonntag.

The software allowed the turbocharged TDI engines of the Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne and VW Touareg, to close to the emission control systems after about 22 minutes, two minutes more than they are usually required by the official methods, that are used to measure emissions.

Managers from Audi will give explanations to American environmental authorities on 10 of August. A spokesman for Audi and the EPA refused to comment on the report.
