Recently the company released a teaser of the car, which in appearance is identical to the Karma we already knew. Besides the familiar look, the company promises significant upgrades to all electronic systems, wiring, charging and finally the battery, compared to the previous model.
Karma Automotive, collaborated with BMW, from where they purchased the engine components, the battery charging system and various other materials to avoid the problems that existed in the past.
The car will be built at the company’s factory in Southern California at a rate of 3,000 cars per year with the parent company Wanxiang Group to prepare a factory in China that can manufacture 50,000 cars per year. Of these, 39,000 will be the smaller and cheaper Atlantic, that will become the spearhead in sales for the company and the remaining 11,000 will be the Karma.
To Revero will continue to have solar panels on the roof as before, but they will produce more energy to power the entire car. For the interior there is no information, but is not expected to differ from the previous one. The only new thing is the infotainment system that features a simple, intuitive and beautiful interface.
The Karma Revero will be officially presented on 8 September and the company is expected to continue to give teasers of the new car by then. Karma is already accepting orders and the cars will be delivered towards the end of the year, with the new model to have a starting price above $100,000.
