Audi presents the A8 L Security, an armored A8 that will debut at the Frankfurt auto show. The German company describes the car as the safest Audi, ever built. It uses special aluminum alloys, special fibers and special high-strength steel elements that enhance the protection of the cabin, while reducing also the weight.
The windows are bulletproof, while the car also features run-flat tires, an emergency exit, a fire extinguishing system and a backup system of fresh air. It has a maximum payload of 600 kg and it can be equipped with either a 4 liter V8 bi-turbo TFSI engine producing 435 hp with 600 Nm of torque, or a W12 naturally aspirated engine producing 500 hp with 625 Nm of torque. The Audi A8 L Security is already available for ordering with first deliveries to be made by next spring.
