On April 27, the Seat Ibiza will become 30 years old. The most successful model of the Spanish company, within these 30 years, has sold almost 5 million units
- Ibiza I, 1984-1993: 1.308.461 vehicles ,
- Ibiza II, 1993-2002: 1.522.607 vehicles ,
- Ibiza III, 2002-2008: 1.221. 200 vehicles ,
- IbizaIV, 2008- to date : 924,183 vehicles
The Seat Ibiza 1984 costed approximately 825,000 pesetas (4.950 €). At today’s prices would be 15.620 euros. The car became the official car at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, the second generation was the first model in its class equipped with a TDI 90hp engine, while the Ibiza was the first model in its class with ESP, as standard on the entire range.
Seat to celebrate the 30th birthday of the small car, will release a version called Ibiza 30th Anniversary, which features black wheels, xenon light fixtures, special stickers and black mirrors.
