The model will be named either GLT-Class, or X-Class and it will not be sold in the market of North America, but only in the markets of Europe, Australia, South Africa and Latin America. It will be manufactured at the Renault and Nissan factories in Cordoba, Argentina, and in Barcelona and its design will be influenced by the Nissan Navara.

It will have top security systems and it will be luxurious, while it will be offered in different versions and in three different trim levels.

The basic version will be aimed at traditional customers of pickups models, with the top version having a more luxurious touch, similar in concept to the Denali versions of the GMC pickups. Mercedes will not release an AMG version of the car, but they will offer AMG styling packages that will make the appearance of the pickup more aggressive.

Rumors say that it will be available with two diesel engines, a four-cylinder 2.3-liter producing 187 hp with 450 Nm of torque and a 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine producing 258 hp with 620 Nm of torque.
