Mercedes presented a few days ago the X Class Concept, but that is not the first pick-up truck that they produced. The G-Wagen was produced in numerous versions, one of these was the G 63 6×6, that was also a pick-up, but it was produced in limited numbers.

According to Mercedes, back in the 70’s, they sent to Argentina many W114/W115 in pieces, so that it can be assembled according to the Latin American people, with some engineers believing that a Mercedes pick-up would be useful.
Like this, Mercedes presented the “La Pickup” (seriously, that was the name). The car was normally a 220D, that had replaced its rear seats for a flatbed with a wooden floor.
