Mazda presented the Hazumi concept at the Geneva Motor Show, which is obviously is a foretaste of the new Mazda2.

Apparently the Hazumi is a concept, but it looks like a pre-production model and not a normal concept. The five-door hatchback has a length of 4.07 meters, width of 1.73 meters, a height of 1.45 meters and a wheelbase of up to 2.58 meters. It stands on 18 inch wheels with tires 215/45/18 and design, adopts unsurprisingly, the Kodo Design, design language.

In front , the lights and the grille are mounted low, near to the ground while at the back, the aggressive lights and the centrally positioned double exhaust tailpipe stand out.

The interior is perhaps the most futuristic and concept-like element of the Hazumi. The central console ” floats” as a bridge while the instrument panel is designed around the driver. Of course the red seats stand out but apart from them, the interior is dominated by black, white and aluminum color.

The Hazumi is equipped with a new SKYACTIV-D turbodiesel emitting less than 90 gr/km of CO2, combined with 6 speed automatic transmission and according to the company it offers abundant torque and dynamic performance.

The new generation Mazda2 will probably be present in the Paris exhibition in October while sales will begin in early 2015.
