Lotus, unveiled the Exige Sport 350, which weighs only 1,125 kilos and it features a new lighter battery and new bases for the engine. The car also has better sound absorbing materials, as well as a lighter air conditioning system.

It is equipped with a supercharged 3.5 liter V6 engine producing 345 hp and 400 Nm of torque, that enable it to do the 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, while its top speed reaches 274 km/h.

Lotus engineers have also equipped the car with tighter shock absorbers and they changed their geometry to improve the handling of the car and to make the steering more responsive. All of these upgrades have reduced by 2.5 seconds the lap time of the car on the test track of Lotus, compared to the Exige S.

The additional equipment, includes lightweight forged aluminum wheels that reduce the weight by 5 extra kilos and drilled ventilated discs that also reduce the weight by the same amount of kilos. This means that if you order all the optional parts, the Lotus Exige Sport 350 weighs just 1,115 kilos. The interior features leather and Alcantara, while it is also available in plaid fabrics to resemble the interior of the 1976 Lotus Esprit S1.

The Lotus Exige Sport 350 will go on sale from February, with its price, starting at €74,000 in Germany, while its roadster edition will be available one month later.
