The 688HS, is the result of the MSO (McLaren Special Operations) section of the company and it is equipped with a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which has improved and delivers 688 hp, like the name of the car suggests, with its torque reaching 700 Nm.
Apart from the extra power, the weight of the car has been reduced by 40 kg compared to the 675LT, through extensive use of carbon and polycarbonate glass. The 688 has a new body kit with a large rear spoiler and it produces 220 kilos of downforce at 240 km/hour.
The 688 HS has an air intake on the roof, vented fenders, new wheels of 19 and 20 inches, carbon-ceramic brakes with black calipers, a carbon splitter and a carbon diffuser, while its interior features Alcantara upholstery.
