The coupe production version of the ML-Class will be built in the factory town of Tuscaloosa in Alabama, in which, Daimler has invested 2 billion dollars to upgrade. It will be the fifth model made in U.S. factory, since it is already manufacturing the ML-Class, GL-Class, R-Class, while the 2014 it will start manufacturing the new C-Class.
The range of engines avaiolable for the MLC will be a 3.0 liter V6 diesel engine producing 258 hp, a 3.5 liter V6 petrol engine producing 306 hp and a V8 4.6 liter engine producing 435 hp. Mercedes-Benz was ” forced ” to send such a model to production, since there is a great demand for such vehicles. It will quite profitable for the company, since they did not have to invest a lot of money for its development, given that it is a different version of the ML class.
