Mitsubishi revealed today the Outlander PHEV Concept-S, which will be officially present at the Paris auto show at the end of the next week. It is a plug-in hybrid concept, which is described as a “special package” of the Outlander PHEV. The car has a redesigned interior and exterior, aiming to give a new dimension to the unique driving experience of the Outlander PHEV.
Externally there are new lights, new bumpers and a chrome grille, while the interior features red and black leather upholstery, wooden ornaments, chromed details and gloss black center console.
The Outlander PHEV Concept-S embodies the concepts of “Sporty & Sophisticated”. Its sophisticated design, reflects the unique combination of dynamic performance of the 4 × 4 system, the twin-motor of the PHEV, the smooth quiet operation, and the excellent behavior on the road. The hybrid system is powered by a lithium-ion battery of 12 kWh, which is charged by a 2.0-liter DOHC MIVEC engine.
