The Volkswagen Camper, according to rumors, could be revived before the end of this decade with a fresh design featuring retro details and cutting edge technology.
The vehicle will be based on the MQB platform of the Volkswagen Group, a versatile platform already used for other models. The car could be the production of the Volkswagen Bulli concept (main picture), that was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011.
The engine of the car will be electric and it will be combined with a small combustion engine, placed in the front of the vehicle. The batteries of the electric engine will be positioned below the floor, to save cargo space.
