TVR, announced that they have started accepting pre-orders for their new sports car, with the minimum deposit to be £5,000.
The company said:
We have been surprised by the reactions to the new car. Our telephone lines and our online system have virtually collapsed since we announced the news.
The car will be designed by Gordon Murray, it will have a low weight and it will be equipped with a lightweight V8 engine producing over 400 hp. Of course, the upcoming model will go into production in 2017 and even then its production will be limited to “a few hundred” cars.
