A unique 1965 cutaway Chevrolet Corvette C2 Stingray will go to auction by RM Sotheby’s on May 2. The car was built to be presented in the Motorama auto show in 1965 and it was a test mule for the development of the second generation of the Corvette.
GM wanted to showcase the body, chassis and mechanical parts of the C2 with this cutaway model.The car is painted in a blue “Le Mans Blue” color, it is equipped with a 7 liter V8 engine, combined with a four-speed gearbox.
