1985 Ferrari 288 GTO heads to auction

A 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO will be auctioned at Pebble Beach by Mecum Auctions, that estimates that it will reach a value between $2 and $3 million. The car started as a homologation special for Group B, but ended up as a stand-alone street car of extremely limited production.

There are only 272 of these cars and they are equipped with a 2,8 liter V8 twin-turbo engine that delivers 400 hp at 7,000 rpm and 496 Nm of torque at 3,800 rpm.

This Ferrari 288 GTO is painted in the classic Rosso Corsa color, featuring a black/red interior, air conditioning, radio, electric windows, having traveled only 11,980 kilometers.
