A 1993 Ruf 964 RCT will be auctioned by Silverstone Auctions on October 15 and it is expected to reach a price between £120,000 and £140,000. The car is painted in a Schwartz Metallic color and it is in great shape.
It belonged to a private collection until 2007, when it was sold to a British collector. It is based on a Carrera 4 Anniversary, a special edition model celebrating the 30 years of the 911. It has the body of the Turbo, as well as amendments to the chassis, brakes and suspension, and it was equipped with a naturally aspirated flat six-cylinder 3.6-liter engine, but Ruf placed a turbo engine in it.
The turbo engine manufactured by RUF, had two spark plugs per cylinder, and an ECU of Motronic and it was able to produce 385 hp. The power was transferred to all four wheels, with the gearbox being reconstructed by RUF. The car had also a limited slip differential, larger brakes, new shocks, a new exhaust and 18-inch five spoke Speedline wheels.
