Also there is the possibility of ordering the Corvette Z06 with the Z07 Performance Package . If this package is selected, the Z06 gets bigger winglets, Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup tires and larger , carbon ceramic brakes (394mm diameter front and 388mm rear). With this configuration, GM tells us that the Z06 produces more downforce than any other production model .

The Z06 is equipped with a brand new supercharged V8 6.2 liter engine named LT4. The engine has an Eaton supercharger of 1.7 liters and the vehicle has also an intercooler. It revs at 20,000 rpm, 5,000 more from the ZR1’s supercharger and it can lift 0.65 bar of maximum boost pressure . The engine is capable of “at least” 625 hp and 861 Nm of torque. Combined with either a 7 speed manual transmission with Active Rev Match, or an 8 speed automatic transmission¬†with paddles. Regarding the last one, it is worth mentioning that it has four set relations and 5 clutches . It occupies the same space as the 6- speed automatic of the Stingray and it is 4 kilos lighter and 5 % more efficient!
