Lincoln presented officially the 2016 MKX, at the Detroit auto show. The design of the model borrows elements of the MKX concept. The car features LED lights, muscular lines and plenty of chrome. At the rear, it has new lights, a spoiler and the double exhaust tailpipes.
The interior features high quality materials such as leather, wood and aluminum. The interior also features a “floating” center console and entertainment and information system with a touch screen. The optional equipment includes a Revel audio system with up to 19 speakers, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Assist, Blind Spot Information System, 360 degrees camera, Parking Assist, the driver warning system and automatic braking before a possible collision.
For the beginning the car will be available two engines. A 3.7 liter V6 that produces 300 hp and 379 Nm of torque and the twin turbo 2.7 liter Ecoboost V6 that produces more than 330 hp and 501 Nm of torque. Both engines are combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission, with the all-wheel drive system to be optional. Sales of the 2016 MKX will begin in America, this fall and the price will be announced close to launch.
