Volkswagen unveiled at the Los Angeles auto show, the revamped version of the e-Golf which is more powerful, it offers greater autonomy and has better equipment.
The electric Golf is equipped with a lithium-ion battery of 35.8 kWh that gives it an autonomy of 200 kilometers. The charging of its batteries is done via a 7.2 kW charger and it takes less than six hours for a full charge through a level 2 charger, while using a fast charger, the battery is filled to 80% within an hour. The electric motor of the car produces 134 hp with 290 Nm of torque, that enable it to do the 0-100 km/h in 9.8 seconds, with its top speed being 150 km/hour.
The car features a digital instrument cluster of 12.3 inhes and the Discover Pro infotainment system with an 8.9 inch touch screen. The production of the e-Golf will be made at VW’s factory in Dresden, with VW to invest €20 million in it.
