BMW released a teaser of the X2 concept. The production version of this concept is expected to be launched within the next year and probably in the autumn of 2017.
The X2 is essentially the coupe version of the X1 and it features a sloping roofline. It will be built on the front-wheel drive UKL platform and mechanically it is expected to be available with the same three-cylinder and four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines as the X1.
The engines will be offered with manual and automatic gearboxes with the all-wheel drive xDrive system to be available on the additional equipment. At the top of the range of the X2, there will be the M Performance version of the car, while BMW will also offer a plug-in hybrid version of the car.
