Jeep Cherokee Liberty

These are the first pictures of the Jeep Cherokee Liberty, which will debut in the exhibition in New York in late March. The design of the front part reminds us of the Nissan Juke with thin lights and a small grille.

The model is constructed on the Compact US Wide (CUSW) platform of Chrysler, the platform that the Dodge Dart and the Alfa Romeo Giulietta use, and will be the first model of the Jeep that will be equipped with a brand new V6 3,2-liter engine, which is based on the Pentastar V6 3,6-liter. It will also be available with the current 2.0-liter turbodiesel, the 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel, and gasoline 2,4 Tiger Shark and the 1,4 turbo of Fiat. In America, however, it will only be available with the V6 engines. The Jeep Liberty will be equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

From a design perspective, the Jeep Cherokee Liberty will be similar to Crossover cars. The compact front lighting stands out with a grille accented with 7 vertical lines while the bumper has large intakes in the lower section. On the side, the rounded lines of the rear roof pillars stand out. The black plastic around the body of the car, give an extra off road feeling to it’s shape.

At the interior, it has a three-spoke steering wheel, chrome decorations, LCD screen between the two instruments of the instrument panel, large LCD screen in the center of the dashboard, leather upholstery, electric parking brake, with the selection of off-road programs being located next to the gearbox lever.
The car will be front wheel drive with optional all whell drive. With the 9-speed automatic transmission the car will become more efficient, with lower fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions compared with it’s predecessor.
