Chris Porritt, vice president of engineering of Tesla, speaking in to English media, revealed some interesting details about the entry-level sedan that Tesla is preparing.

The car will not use the aluminum platform of the Model S, but a new, in order to keep costs low. Major competitors, at least in terms of price, will be the BMW 3-Series, the Audi A4 and the Mercedes C-Class, the model will be coming on the market in three years from now.
