At Detroit in January 2010 GMC had presented the Granite Concept, which finally seems to be going in production , since GM wants to release to the market a small crossover.
The car will be built on the platform of the Buick Encore/Opel Mokka. The prototype has a wide grille with integrated company logo , 20 inch wheels, spoiler , LED lights and the rear door opens backwards like the new Opel Meriva.
Mechanically it is fitted with a turbo 1.4 liter engine producing 138 hp and 20 kilos of torque while it sends power over an automatic
6 speed gearbox .
