MG presented the GS at the Shanghai auto show. The car features LED running light, plastic protectors and a roof spoiler.
The interior features a center console, loaded with buttons and an audio system with 4 speakers. More expensive versions are equipped with leather interior, premium sound system and infotainment system, with an 8 inch screen.
The car is available with a turbocharged 1.5 liter engine producing 168 hp with 250 Nm and also a 2 liter turbo that delivers 220 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Depending on the engine chosen, the gearbox can be either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed, automatic dual clutch, or finally, a 7-speed automatic dual clutch. In its basic version, the GS is front wheel drive but there is the option of a four-wheel drive system.
The MG GS will start being sold in China later this year and it will be introduced in England in 2016.
