One of the 337 Porsche 959 will be auctioned by Gooding & Company at Pebble Beach in August. The car is painted in black color and it is produced in 1988.
The 959 is equipped with a 2.8 liter, six-cylinder engine producing 450 hp, combined with a 6-speed, manual transmission and an advanced electronic four-wheel drive, with the 0-100 km/h coming in 3.6 seconds. The body of the 959 is made of an aluminum alloy and Kevlar. The car features a tire pressure monitoring system, electronic adjustable suspension, an ABS and much more equipment.
When launched, it was the fastest production car in the world, since in 1987 it caught 317 km/h, with the auction house to estimate that it will reach a price between $1.6 and $1.8 million.
