At the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, Saab presented the Aero X concept, which was equipped with a 2.8 liter twin-turbo V6 engine producing 400 hp.

The car could do the 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and it had a top speed of 250 km/h. It did not have doors but a large part that opens and reveals the interior, also the whole outer shell was made of carbon fiber. The Aero X had an all-wheel drive system, a seven-speed semi-automatic gearbox and an electronically controlled suspension.
