In 1994, Renault wanted to celebrate the 10 years of the Espace and the created the Renault Espace F1 Concept, which was created in collaboration with Matra and Williams Renault.

The car was equipped with a 3.5 liter V10 engine derived from the Williams-Renault FW15C and it had a weight of 1300 kg, while its chassis was made of carbon. The engine was combined with a 6-speed semi-automatic gearbox, that transferred the power to the rear wheels.
The car was able to do the 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, the 0-200 km/h in 6.9 seconds and it had a top speed of more than 312 km/h. It could carry 4 passengers and it had an aerodynamic body kit.
