The 1964 Chevrolet Engineering Research Vehicle will go to auction at this year’s Pebble Beach where it is expected to reach a price between $1.3 and $2 million.

The Engineering Research Vehicle began as a project in 1959 and on it Chevrolet’s engineers developed the independent suspension of the Corvette Stingray of 1963. It has a tubular frame made of alloy steel, lead and chromium, while its body is made of polyester.
It was originally equipped with a 4.7 liter V8 engine and afterwards it was equipped with a 6.2 liter V8. The CERV I was all these years in the garage of a collector.
