The AC MkVI is manufactured in Germany by Heyda, a company that employs 40 people. The car is made entirely by hand and attention to detail is mildly impressive. The range of MkVI consists of 5 models. The ‘simple ‘, ‘ basic GT ‘, the ‘ GT Big Block’ , the GTS and the GTSR. The first three share the same tubular chassis, aluminum chassis, double wishbone suspension on all four wheels with shock absorbers KW, Brembo brakes etc etc. They differ in the choice of engine. The GT has a 6,2 liter V8 producing 437 hp and 585Nm of torque. The GT Big Block wears a larger 7- liter V8 with 640 hp and 740Nm of torque while the GTS has a supercharged V8 6,2 liter producing 647 hp and 820Nm of torque. The weight is no more than 1,080 kg.
The GTSR has a tubular chassis made by chromoly. The bodywork is made from carbon, it has racing suspensions , 19 inch made of magnesium. It is equipped with a race-spec 6,2 liter supercharged V8 producing 780 horses and 1050Nm torque ! The weight has dropped to 995 kg and it is split evenly between the two axes. All this means 0-100km/h comes in 2.8 seconds and it’s top speed is
Of course , all these have an impact on price. 252,000 pounds (302.400 €). The main AC MkVI GT, costs 129,390 pounds (155.000 € ), the GT Big Block costs 166,350 pounds (199.600 € ) and the GTS 171.000 pounds (205.000 €).
