Fiat announced the MY2014 versions of the Abarth 500, which will be offered in three levels of interior trim and equipment – “Custom”, “Turismo” and “Competizione” – and two different technologies for the gearbox – manual and electrically actuated with controls on the steering wheel.
Among the new features presented in the MY 2014 Abarth 500, it is the typical dashboard of Abarth with a 7 inch TFT screen, which is standard across the range, allowing customers to view information such as lateral acceleration and the pressure on the gas pedal. Moreover, the panel lighting (backlighting) allows it to be easier to read all the organs, resulting in greater safety.
The multifunction display has two ways to provide the driver with information necessary for safe and high performance driving: mode with a digital fuel gauge and information on fuel consumption, depending on driving style, and “sport mode” with information related more to performance, such as accelerometer counter, longitudinal and lateral acceleration counters, with reference to the acceleration of gravity (G).
The new exterior colors are also an addition to the range of MY 2014: four monochrome bodies, including the extremely sporty Cordolo Red along with pastel Pista Grey, Rally Beige and metallic Trofeo Grey, along with three new color variations, the Pista Grey/Leggenda Light Blue and Rally Beige by Officina Red or Trofeo Grey. Also a new combination of Rally Beige will be available with beige fabric roof for the convertible. Finally the car features new 16 inch rims with retro design.
