Having sold over 40,000 cars in the fourth generation of the M3 Coupe, the BMW M4 wishes to continue the heavy history of the model .The brand new M3 Sedan is equipped with an aggressive grille, big air intakes in the bumper and a new hood with a bloating on the center. On the other hand, the M4 Coupe has not changed significantly compared to the concept we saw some time ago , having the same gold color , with ‘ matching ‘ brake claws as the M3 Sedan. Generally the M4 coupe takes advantage of it’s coupe body and it looks more elegant with the interior being virtually identical in both models .

At the front and rear it features MacPherson suspensions made of lightweight materials to reduce unsprung weight and increase rigidity. As a standard option both cars wear 18 inch wheels with tires sizes measuring 255/40 front and 275/40 rear.

The weight of the M4 is 1497 kilos , which maximizes the dynamic characteristics , ensuring excellent performance. To achieve this the use of lightweight materials such as carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) and aluminium has been increased in a large part of the frame parts and body. The CFRP roof weighs 5 kilos less in the M3 and 6 pounds in the M4 (compared to a conventional roof).

Both the M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe are fitted with the same 3- liter inline six-cylinder TwinPower Turbo S55 engine that produces 431 horses and 550Nm of torque. According to BMW the engine combines the virtues of a high-revving air with the advantages of turbo technology. It takes just 4.1 seconds for the cars to complete 0-100km/h using the seven-speed dual-clutch M-DCT (4,3 seconds with the 6- speed manual transmission) , and are 25 % more economical having an average consumption of 8.3 L/100 km with the 7- speed automatic gearbox and 8.8 l/100 km with 6- speed manual . The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h , but with the M Driver’s Package, the limiter is removed and the top speed rises to 280 km/h .
