Bentley at last year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance had shown some sketches of the Mulsanne Vision, a prototype open Mulsanne which would officially be presented at the Paris Exhibition.
This never happened and the CEO of Bentley, Wolfgang Schreiber, solemnly confirmed that this version will not make it to production. The reason is none other than the very low demand. Explained, namely, that the company can not design a comprehensive business plan when the car could have been successful only in the U.S. market.
These news displeased prospective buyers on the other side of the Atlantic, and features indicated that Bentley sold in 2012 only 1.169 Muslanne, with the development costs of an open issue never to be covered. However, we know that the British company will present its first crossover.
