The Mercedes-Benz CLA was presented officialy in Geneva and it will be available for sale from April at around $36.000.
It is 4.630 mm in length, 1.777 mm wide and 1.437 mm tall, with an aerodynamic coefficient 0,23 Cd and COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST system that warns the driver of a possible collision. The interior is almost identical to the A-Class with the only changes being noticed in different metallic decorations on the dashboard and the luxurious materials used. The optional equipment includes a large glass roof.
Initially it will be available with three petrol engines and one diesel. The CLA 180 version with a 1.6 liter gasoline engine which is combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox, delivers 122 hp and 200 Nm of torque. It has an average fuel consumption 5.5 l/100 km and 128 g/km of CO2 emissions. The 0-100 km/h is comleted in 9.3 seconds with a top speed of 210 km/h.
The CLA 180 BlueEFFICIENCY has the same engine, but because of better aerodynamics (0,22 Cd) and tires with low friction has an average consumption of 5.0 l/100 km and emits 118 g/km of CO2. The 0-100 km/h for the CLA 180 BlueEFFICIENCY is comlpeted in
9.9 seconds with top speed electronically limited to 190 km/h.
The CLA 200 version is also equipped with a 1.6 liter engine, which produces 156 hp and 250 Nm of torque. It has an average fuel consumption of 5.6 l/100 km and 129 g/km of CO2 emissions. The 0-100 km/h is comlpeted in 8.6 seconds with top speed of 230 km/h.
The CLA 250 version is equipped with a 2.0 liter turbo engine with 211 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Combined exclusively with the
7-speed 7G-DCT automatic transmission completes the 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and has a top speed of 240 km/h. It has an average fuel consumption of 6.1 l/100 km and emits 143 g/km of CO2.
The only diesel version is the CLA 220 CDI, which is equipped with a 2.2 liter engine with 170 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Combined exclusively with the 7-speed 7G-DCT automatic transmission it can complete the 0-100 km/h in 8.2 seconds and it’s top speed reaches 230 km/h. It has an average fuel consumption 4.4 l/100 km and emits 113 g/km of CO2.
CLA is also available with the new all-wheel drive 4MATIC, which can be found at the optional equipment. The CLA also features new rear axle transmission, which features an integrated electro-controlled multi-plate clutch. Therefore, the system provides fully variable torque distribution between front and rear axle. All engines feature as a standard option a Start/Stop system.
