A few weeks back the CEO of KTM, Stefan Pierer said: “We are in KTM utterly confident for electric mobility as a perfect complement to conventional motors. Longterm, electric vehicles will become the leading solutions for small distances, especially in environmentally sensitive areas such as is both the countryside and the densely populated metropolitan areas. Vehicles such as E-Speed and Freeride E, can help riders to gain social acceptance! And not just because it is environmentally friendly, but because it’s easy, fast and highly entertaining. ”
Technically, the KTM E-Speed produces 11kW (almost 15Hp) and 36,3 Nm of torque, while it’s top speed reaches 85 km/hour. The framework is made out of steel with WP suspensions. The power is transmited through a belt, while the weight of the scooter is just 140 kg. The lithium ion battery has a capacity of 4,36 kWh, while a full charge takes two hours.
