The possibility of seeing a sport model with a 250 cc engine by KTM in 2014 and comes back to the surface, and the rumors that talk about it become more and more specific.
The new information refer to a sport model with a 250 cc engine, to be manufactured in India and in particular in Bajaj Chakan factory (like the small Duke). This model will be based on the small Duke, while aesthetically it resembles the 1198 RC8 R. Probably, the frame will be transferred unchanged from the small Duke, and the engine will probably be a in line twin cylinder, with a power of about 30 hp to 35 hp.
The most important thing in this news is the fact that, most likely, it will be a global model and will not be reserved only for the market of India and Asia. The KTM RC250 will be placed against bikes like the Honda CBR 250R, Kawasaki Ninja 300R and the rumored Yamaha YZF-R250. The fact that it will be manufactured in India, makes it very competitive regardin it’s price.
