The Research Center of Mazda would be the place where every Japanese car enthusiast would like to be.

Prototypes, racing and production models are located in Irvine , California, USA, a true paradise for any lover of rotary engines.

Shortly after entering , the visitor stumbles onto one of the 70 RX-2 ever built, the engine produces 218 hp @ 8,400 rpm ! Of course a 787B could not be absent, the racing legend of Le Mans, the only Japanese race car to ever win the 24 hour French endurance race.

Somewhere in the middle lies the modern RX-792P prototype, the rotary engine with four rotors under the hood producing 700 hp. Just nearby, there is the GLC 1978 with very few miles, many RX-7s, and the four-wheel drive, turbo 323 GTX.

There is also the Cosmo, the twin-turbo three rotor, which was released only in Japan and also the Luce of 1969 , the only Mazda with a rotary engine and front wheel drive.

From such a collection could not be absent the MX-5. The 14th and 15th MX-5 are in excellent condition, as well as the one-off MX-5 Fastback Coupe, and a supercharged prototype.
