The new Leon Cupra is preparing to go on sale and for the first time it will be available in 5-door, 3-door and a wagon version. The estate version of the new Leon will be presented in September at the Frankfurt motor show, along with the Cupra versions.

The power will be transferred to the front axle via an electronic limited slip differential, the same that we find in the Performance Pack version of the new VW Golf GTI. It iswill be combined with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed or a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
The Leon Cupra will go on sale in early 2014. It’s design features an aggressive body kit consisting of new bumpers, black mirrors, large wheels, diffuser, spoiler and a trapezoidal exhaust positioned in the center, 18 inch wheels and big brakes.
Fermin Soneira Santos, head of evolution at Seat, said regarding the design of the new Cupra:
It will be different than the simple Leon but not excessive. It must be a car that owners will be proud of and also be able to go for a ride with it.
Referring to the driving characteristics Santos said:
I may not be completely objective, but I promise that this car will be equally suitable for a relaxing weekend and also for a ride on a track.
