The Aeromobil 3.0 is a fully functional flying car, for which the creator has spent more than 20 years of development and construction.
The flaps are folded backwards to be able to drive the 450 kg vehicle normally on the road. The car’s frame is made of steel and it has a carbon fiber body and other composites. It can accommodate two passengers and its width goes from 2.24 to 8.32 meters depending of the form in which it is. In terms of length, it reaches 6 meters.
The propeller and the wheels are rotated by means a Rotax 912 motor, with a consumption of 15 liters/hour or 8 liters/100 km, when the car flies and when it is located on the road respectively. In flight the Aeromobil can reach 200 km/h and it has a range of 700 kilometers. On the road, the maximum speed is 160 km/h and it can make up to 500 km without being refueled.
The company has already made several actual test flights, the vehicle becomes a plane in a few seconds. It features an autopilot system development parachute and all the electronic equipment you would expect from an aircraft. For the time being, it has not been announced when the AeroMobil 3.0 will go into production.
