Officially, none of the two companies has not confirmed or denied the news. MV Agusta has changed hands many times over the last 20 + years: The Cagiva bought them in 1991, the parent company of Lotus, Proton in 2004, GEVI Spa in 2005, Harley-Davidson in 2008 and Claudio Castiglioni in 2010. Rumors also say that the chances for an agreement between the two companies are high, because of the existence of Investidustrial, the company of the Bonomi family, who were owners of Ducati (with which the Mercedes-AMG had worked in the past) and now have the 37.5% of Aston Martin (with which Mercedes-AMG works closely).
