The lights feature 12 LED with 3 reflectors that illuminate the road, according to data provided by the interior mirror mounted camera. There is a control unit that reads the data and it opens whichever LED it considers appropriate, or it adjusts the brightness of the lights.

Audi claims that this method allows the LED lights to distribute the light in a few million possible combinations, illuminating the path in the best way, without disturbing the other cars using the road. In addition, there is a function that is combined with the also optional MMI Navigation Plus system to “steer” the lights in a bend before even the driver turns the steering wheel.
