Audi has announced plans to launch a series of races of only manufacturer, called Audi Sport TT Cup.The races will begin next year.
The 24 cars will be prepared by quattro GmbH, with six being held on reserve for guest drivers. For the remaining 18, Audi accepts open applications on their website. The car has all the appropriate modifications, a new aerodynamic body kit to make it more aggressive, which includes a front splitter of carbon, wider fenders, an enormous rear spoiler, Matrix LED light fixtures and a centrally positioned single exhaust.
The bare interior features a multifunctional steering wheel, a new digital instrument panel, while for the safety of the driver, a full roll cage, fire extinguish system and full racing safety seat of PS1, derived from the R8 LMS ultra has been installed.
The car is equipped with a 2.0 liter TFSI engine producing 310 hp, with more than 400 Nm of torque. However, there is the option, which temporarily increases the power by 30 hp. The engine is combined with a six-speed S tronic automatic transmission, an electronically controlled differential, with the weight of the race car not exceeding 1,125 kg.
